- Partisan politics - would be the term that is used when a party is accused to care more about their party's goals rather than the will of the people.

In government body, each representatives usually have their own party affiliation that possess their own agenda regarding how the country should be operated according to their principle.

This agenda does not always aligned with what the people need but the representatives often overlooked the people to ensure that their party still maintain the power in the next election.
