Explanation: In 1776 the right to vote in the colonial period and the revolutionary period was granted to property owners, the vast majority were white men and over 21 years. In the same year the Constitution of New Jersey, included all the people so were women who had a specific amount of properties. In 1787 as no national agreement was reached about this voting rule, each state is autonomous from controlling its own voting laws.
