A man has 43 coins, All nickels, dimes & quarters. He has one more  than three times as many dimes as he does nickels and twice as many quarters as he does nickels.

How many of each coin does he have ?

1 + 3d = n => (n-1) / 3 = d
2n = q
n + d + q = 43
substitute
n + (n-1) / 3 + 2n = 43
n = 13
q = 26
d = 4
