Plant and animal cells are very similar in structure. They are both eukaryotic cells (cells with a true nucleus). Membrane enclosed organelles such as nucleus, Golgi apparatus, endoplasmic reticulum, mitochondria, peroxisomes and lysosomes can be found in both plant and animal cells. The two cells also contain ribosomes, similar membranes, cytosol, and cytoskeletal elements.
