Fungi are not like plants because they lack chlorophyll. They can't make their own food. Therefore they must get their energy from plants and animals, just like we animals/humans do

fungi is mould so, its not fungi and mould, anyway, fungi is an organism that doesn't contain the green pigment or chlorophyll, so it cannot produce its own food by photosynthesis so it depends on other plants and animals in order to survive , this type of a relationship is called a symbiotic relationship,
