The federal reserve act of 1913 was passed in attempt to stabilize the US economy by creating and establishing the Federal Reserve System. The FRS is the US central banking system that also has the power to issue notes which are now called the US Dollar. The Central Bank became the one in charge of monetary policy in the country.
