There have been many film adaptations of Mary Shelley's novel Frankenstein. How do most film adaptations differ from the original text version of the story?

Depends on what adaptations you're looking at but most book and movie adaptations portrayal the monster differently. In the book he can write and speak, while in the movies he mostly grunts and has trouble communicating.
