Is the government doing enough to ensure that human rights are protected? Explain

Yes, the government is trying their best as the human rights are still protected. Even when other people undermine people's rights the government is there to protect you all over.

Many cases of human rights violations are reported daily, not only in the US but worldwide. The Government must take measures to avoid this type of situation. For example, in some cases of deportation of immigrants, human rights are not being respected properly and the government is directly associated with it. There are also situations of child labor, violence against political minorities: women, gays, blacks. The Government does not have an attitude of protagonist in the defense of the human rights.
