Current atomic models show an atom's nucleus surrounded by electron clouds. An electron cloud is a region around an atom's nucleus where an electron is likely to be. Which of the following is a limitation of current atomic models?

A. Scientists cannot determine whether electron clouds are two-dimensional or three-dimensional using current atomic models.

B. Scientists cannot determine the number of electrons moving in an electron cloud using current atomic models

C. Scientist cannot predict the exact path of an electron within an electron cloud using current atomic models.

Option C:Scientist cannot predict the exact path of an electron within an electron cloud using current atomic models.

The current model gives a probaility of finding an electron in a region, but is is not possible to determine the location and velocity of the electron.

The quantum mechanical model of the atom states that the location of the electrons around the atom cannot be precisely determined. The region where the electron can probably be found is known as the electron cloud.
