An omniscient point of view provides readers with knowledge about all characters, as well as past and future events.

The main difference between third person omniscient and third person limited points of view is that the third person omniscient is the storytelling method which the thoughts and emotions of all the characters in the story are known by the narrator, whereas in the third person limited the narrator focuses in only one character.
