People's perceptions of their own bodies is often quite different than how others perceive them.

This is True.

The best example of this would be with people who have Anorexia. Although everyone sees them as slim, people who have it actually see themselves as obese.

This is indeed true. It is very known from clinical and cognitive psychology, that how we perceie ourselves is often differentfrom how other people perceive us. This is then even more prominent in cases where we talk about people who have suffered from different body-image related disorders which skew our own represenation of our bodies in comparison to how other people perceive us.
