the atomic mass of potassium is 39. if its atomic number is 9, it has how many neutrons within each potassium atom?

Atomic number is actually 19 as it has 19 protons. To make up the mass number of 39 it needs 20 more nucleons, these must come in the form of neutrons so it has 20 neutrons.
