Let p represent the number of pounds of almonds.

Which equation represents the situation described?

A.
3.75p + 4.5(p – 3.5) = 9.75

B.
4.5p + 3.75(p – 3.5) = 9.75

C.
4.5p + 3.75(3.5 – p) = 9.75

total weight is 3.5
3.5=p+greenbeans
3.5-p=greenbeans

cost=p times 4.5+greenbeens times 3.75
total cost=9.75
sub 3.5-p for greenbeens

9.75=4.5p+3.75(3.5-p)
4.5p+3.75(3.5-p)=9.75
