6 ft 12 ft 6 ft 18 ft Part 1 out of 3 Alice says she can find the area of the room by dividing the floor plan into two trapezoids. The diagram above shows how she intends to divide the floor plan. Find the area using her method.

To find the area of a trapezoid the formula is

My teacher doesn't care about which base is which but the bases are parallel to each other. The height, needs to be perpendicular (on a right angle to), to the bases.
In the diagram you have, Alice has made two trapezoids. You would need to substitute in the proper measurements and calculate the area using Pedmas, Bedmas ect.

Your first trapezoid's formula would be:A=
`((9 ft + 18 ft)* 6 ft)/(2)`
