Andrew Jackson died in 1845—about 16 years before the start of the Civil War. But Andrew JOHNSON (who was vice president under Lincoln and became president after Lincoln's assassination) brokered an agreement to allow the southern states that had seceded during the Civil War to return to the Union.

Those states were South Carolina, North Carolina, Mississippi, Florida, Alabama, Georgia, Louisiana, Texas, Virginia, Arkansas, and Tennessee.
