It is absolutely true that reclamation restores an environment affected by mining to a state where it can sustain its ecosystem. The correct option among the two options that are given in the question is the first option. Mining can be very detrimental to the ecosystem of a place. Reclamation actually restores the natural balance after mining ceases.

that statement is true.

The chemical waste that produced by minings could contaminate the water reserve near the mining sites, degrade the land, and kill the biodiversity near the mining site. In reclamation, we used modern equipment to filter the water and lift the degraded land so it could be reverted back to its originals state.
