China's massive and rapid industrialization has resulted in many different phenomena. It has allowed China to develop technologically. It has also allowed the Chinese economy to grow in a way that was unprecedented in modern history. These changes also allowed millions of low class citizens to become middle class. It dramatically increased the quality of life, the quality of education and the life expectancy of Chinese citizens.

However, it has resulted in some problems too. These massive changes have resulted in enormous pollution and damage to the natural environment of China. It has also made cities overcrowded and expensive. Finally, it has required severe violations of human rights.
