What makes up the cytoskeleton? and what role does the cytoskeleton play in a cell?

The cytoskeleton is made up of protein filaments which are; actin filament, intermediate filament, and microtubule. The cytoskeleton plays a very important role in the intracellular transport and cellular division (mitosis and meiosis.)
