y=mx+b
m=slope
b=y intercept

slope=2
y=2x+b
solve for b by inputing
(-12,8)
(x,y)
x=-12 and y=8 is one solution
input -12 for x and 8 for y

8=2(-12)+b
8=-24+b
add 24 to both sides
32=b

y=2x+32

The function of the line would be best represented by y=mx+b where m = slope and b = y intercept.
To find this we can put it into the slope-intercept form of y-y1=m(x-x1)

Which is:
y-8=2(x+12)
y=2x+24+8
y=2x+32
Hope that helps!
