For this question first you should add +3 on both sides of the equation and then divide both sides by -4:
-4x > 1 +3
-4x > 4
x > 4/-4
x > -1 :)))
I hope this is helpful
have a nice day

find x
remember that you can do anything to an equaiotn as long as you do it to both sides
also, when divide or multiply by negative, flip sign

-4x-3>1
add 3
-4x+3-3>1+3
-4x+0>4
-4x>4
divivde both sides by -4
flip sign
x<-1

x is less than -1
can be any number less than -1 not including -1
