its the same as
(x+2)(x+2)
so (x+2)(x+2) divided by (x+2)
is just (x+2)

(x+2)^2=(x+2)(x+2)
remember
25/5=5 aka
(5^2)/5=5
so
(x^2)/x=x
((x+2)^2)/(x+2)=x+2
