The correct answer should be islam. That is why there's often controversy regarding their physical appearance as many people can't differentiate Sikhs from Muslims so they sometimes are bullied or attacked by people who don't even wan't to attack them, but don't know that it's not them and that they're attacking wrong people.

Sikhism was first created in the northern indian continent due to the assimilation process between indian culture and middle eastern culture.
The religion believe that all objects contained some sort of living soul which is prominent in Hindu Religion, but adopted monotheistic view that is prominent in Islam.
