How do i write and a expression for 5 times the number 25 and then subtract the quotient

of 14 and 7. i'm confused!?

"5 times the number 25" is just 25 multiplied 5 times. Then "the quotient of 14 and 7" is just 14 divided by seven. You need the parenthesis because of the PEMDAS rule. Am expression is nt the same as an equation. An equation has an equals sign, an expression does not. So the final expression would be:

(5 x 25) - (14 / 7)
