True or False? Connections with friends can become more important than family relationships during adolescence.

This is true - during adolescence, the peer group of a young adolescent becomes the most important social group for them and also the one which most greatly influences how they will behave later on.

That statement is true

Especially during rebellious phase. Relationship with friends is a little bit different with family relationship because you could choose your friends based on your own criteria, such as mutual goals or interests.

Meanwhile, you can't really choose your own family.
