The 19th Amendment was an important step for equal rights because it gave women the right to vote. This is a major step towards gender equality. This is the amendment that showed that everybody in the world is born equal and this gives every individual regardless of being men or women the right to vote. This was a major achievement for those women fighting for women's suffrage.
