Following the order of PEMDAS, start with what's inside of the parenthesis, adding 26.5 with 30 ---> 791 = 1/2h(56.5)
You need to get h on one side of the equation by itself. To do this, divide the whole equation by .5 (which is the same as 1/2), canceling out the 1/2 on one side of the equation. 791/.5 = 1/2h(56.5)/.5 ----> 1582 = h(56.5)
Next, divide the entire equation again by 56.5. 1582/56.5 = h(56.5)/56.5
---> 28 = h
Your final answer is h = 28. To check this, plug 28 into the equation where the value h is.
