What does the right to privacy grant the individual?

The right to privacy means that once we are in our territory we have a right to do what we want with our private lives so long as we are not breaking the law. Government does not have the right to intrude in our private lives nor do they have the right to monitor our every move. That is a violation of our individual rights.
