To find the mean absolute deviation, u have to find the mean of the data set first. after u find the mean, u subtract to find the numbers distance from the mean. after u do that, u then add up all the new numbers and then divide by how many numbers there are in the data set, and whatever ur answer ends up being is the mean absolute deviation of ur data set.
