Here are some of the abiotic factors that characterize salt marshes
=> High amount of salinity

=> toxic from sulphide
=> high temperature
=> sudden changes to its photoperiod
=> scour and drag
=> The nutrient ions result to low proportion of the total amount present in the soil.
