What caused the floods of the Indus River and what was the result of the floods?

This is due to the flow of the river. There are times when the flow is higher than its usual base. It helps irrigate the crops and makes the soil fertile. Unfortunately this can lead to loss of property and sometimes lives. The worse was the flood of 2010 were many people were killed in Pakistan.
