Actually, a rhombus is not a type of triangle. A triangle has 3 sides, while a rhombus has 4. To make it easier, a rhombus looks like a diamond.

No, a rhombus is a quadrilateral, but it made up of two congruent triangles. A triangle has three sides whereas a rhombus has four equal sides.
