Given:
y = -2x + 4
2y = -6x + 12
2y = -6x + 12
2(-2x + 4) = -6x + 12
-4x + 8 = -6x + 12
-4x + 6x = 12 - 8
2x = 4
x = 4/2
x = 2
y = -2x + 4
y = -2(2) + 4
y = -4 + 4
y = 0
2y = -6x + 12 ; x = 2 ; y = 0
2(0) = -6(2) + 12
0 = -12 + 12
0 = 0
