Equality for women has indeed affected population growth because today more and more women ar opting not to have babies and are focusing on their careers. This has become common in the Western hemisphere and countries which are past industrialization.

Increasing percentage of women are having fewer Children

Before the equality, they don't really have much choice regarding the matter because it's up to the man of the house. Back then, one US households could have up to 7 - 9 Children

Now, women have the right to choose how many children they want to have
