2x+5y=7

This equation can be solved easily...just needs some focusing.

Read carefully:

2x + 5y = 7
We need to get the y by itself on one side.

2x+5y=7
-2x -2x

5y = -2x + 7
5y/5 = -2/5x + 7/5
y = -2/5x + 1.4

Look at that! We got the y value already!

Answer would be: y = -2/5x + 1.4
