In first case, the average speed is (5/15) miles per minutes = (1 /3 ) miles per minutes;
In second case, the distance traveled in York Canal is 30 x ( 1 / 3) = 10 miles;
But, 10 + ( 10 ÷ 2 ) = 10 + 5 = 15 miles;
