What was the appeal of Levittown and similar suburban developments? How did typical suburbs transform family life and shape women's attitudes? What role did race play in suburbanization?

It created an ideal environment to raise a family. It promoted a sense of a close knitted community where people know each other and they develop a close bond with one another. However, it did not sale houses to African Americans despite a ruling segregation as unconstitutional.
