The primary language deficit shown by children with autism spectrum disorder or ASD is usually manifested in the area of pragmatics. ASD occurs greatly in boys than girls. Someone diagnosed of ASD may have difficulty using words correctly or appropriately and be understood through the use of such words. He may used a word to mean a different thing.
