If f (x) = x/3 -2 and g (x) = 3x^2 + 2x - 6, Find (f+g) (x)

(f+g)(x)=f(x)+g(x)

Therefore:

(f+g)(x)

= x/3 - 2 + ( 3x² + 2x - 6 )

= x/3 - 2 + 3x² + 2x - 6

= 3x² + 2x + x/3 - 8

= 3x² + 1/3x + 6/3x - 8

= 3x² + 7/3x - 8
