Publius Vergilius Maro or Virgil wrote this Latin epic poem during the last decade of his life between 29 and 19 BC. Nowadays, Aeneid is considered one of the most famous poems in Latin literature; it tells the story of the Troyan character Aeneas and his journey from Troy to Italy and his journey in becoming the founder of the glorious Rome.
