Why did many Arab tribes fight against the central powers during world war 1?

During the World War I, the Arab tribes unite for their independence which was promise by the Great Britain. Since, 13th Century, this would be the first time to have independence to the Arabs. The Arabs had no fear of the major powers during the World War I including Russia and Germany other than the Ottoman Empire.
