The spread of Christianity to non-Jews was significant because it helped Christianity as a religion to emerge as a separate faith. Christianity found a huge number of followers and it spread very quickly because it preached that the masters and the slaves are all equal and God loves them equally. This found a ready audience among the non-Jews.
