An alliteration is the multitude of same consonant ( a word combined with a vowel to form a syllable) sounds at the beginning of words that are in close proximity( nearness in space, time, or relationship) to each other.

For example,

Sally sells sea shells in the sea shore

The repetition of the letter s shows Alliteration
