central obesity as in over all heavier? I'm not sure what the question is. but obesity is bad it causes blood clots in your main arteries, causes diabetes and knee problems. back problems definitely heart problems depression and a lot more. so I would say false.

Central obesity refers to having a larger midsection of the body, for example a "beer belly".  Central obesity is LESS healthy than carrying excess fat abound the hips and thighs.
