If John would hae to face the choice between choosing doing dishes and doing the laundry, activities which he dislikes, he would be torn through an internal divide that would cause mental discomfort - he would have to chose between two options he dislikes. He would be facing an internal conflict.

Answer:

Avoidance-avoidance conflict.

Step-by-step explanation:

Avoidance-avoidance is a conflict where one must choose between two (more or less) equally undesirable goals.

John needs to do the dishes(avoidance), and needs to do the laundry(avoidance), but doesn't actually want to do either.

I know this is SUPER late, but for anyone still looking for the answer = )
