Which South American country has the highest population density?

We would be looking for a rather small country with a relatively population. It would also probably not include land that is relatively uninhabitable: mountains or jungle or deserts.

The correct answer is: Ecuador. Its population is 16 million and the population density is 55 people per square kilometer.
