"Kilo" also means thousand, but it's a thousand times BIGGER than grams. In other words, there are a thousand grams in 1 kilogram! So how many grams are there in 40 kg? Multiply a thousand by 40: 40*1,000=40,000!

Answer: 40,000 grams
