To multiply two mixed numbers, or a mixed number and a fraction, first convert each mixed number to a fraction. Then multiply the fractions.

Well mixed numbers look like this 2 1/3
and fractions look like this 1/3
When multiplying a regular fraction there is no whole number in front of it so all you would do is multiply the fractions. But a mixed number does have a whole number in front of it so you would multiply the fraction part the exact same way its just after the end you would have to add the whole numbers in front of each fraction together.
I hope this makes sense, and I hope it helps.
Just feel free to message me if you feel like you need an example I would love to help. :)
