This is true. The Japanese American Claims Act was seen as the "right thing to do" due to the negative consequences of World War II and which it had on the populace at the time. They suffered quite some damage due to the war conditions in which America has found itself.

True. This was made possible through the efforts of President Harry S. Truman. This was to help Japanese Americans who lost much due to their internment in the camps during the war. Still many Japanese proved their loyalty by enlisting in the U.S. army during the war.
