The capacity of a substance is the amount of substance it can hold, in other words, its volume. Meanwhile, fluid ounces is one of the many units used to measure the capacity (or volume) of a substance. This unit is usually used in the Imperial or United States system. Other units for volume include liters, milliliters, cubic meters, cubic inches and cubic feet.
