Number of minutes in an hour - 60

Total minutes given - 500

So, number of hours = 500/60 = 8 2/6
That means 8 1/3 hours = 8 hr 20 min

so there are 60 mins in an hour so 500 divided by 60 = 8 and 60 x 8 = 480 so 480 + 20 = 500 so there are 8 hours and 20 mins in 500 mins do you understand?
